BRITAIN BACKS THE MALLORCA PLEDGE

T“One tourist, one friend”. HIS year’s World Travel Market in London drew to a glamorous close on Wednesday night with a gala ‘Mallorca En Esencia’ dinner hosted by the Council of Mallorca at the spectacular Wallace Collection Museum in central London. British VIPs with very close connections with the island included Lord Jeffery Archer who received a large round of applause when he toasted Mallorca’s pledge to positioning the island as a global leader in responsible tourism and working to foster harmony between residents and tourists. During the three-day trade event, one of the most important in the world, the Mallorcan delegation held top-level talks with all the leaders of the UK tourist industry, Calvia presented its new promotional campaign and ABTA confirmed its return to the island.
